Making Starbucks Work For You: Vegan & Dairy-Free

Happy Monday my wonderful friends! Did you have a cup of coffee this morning? Already on your second? I feel you! Do what you have to do to stay awake this morning. Do you eat vegan or a dairy-free diet? Are you considering it, but scared you'll miss out on delicious coffee treat such as Starbucks? Well there's a way around that. As you know, for lent I decided to give up meat, dairy and animal products and I needed a way to make my drinks dairy-free and vegan. After some research I found some amazing vegan and dairy-free drinks that you'll love! So before you reach for your third cup of coffee this morning finish reading this.

In my research I found that all the syrups they use in their fraps, lattes etc are vegan EXCEPT the White Chocolate Mocha Syrup and Caramel Sauce. As of February 15th they offer coconut milk as a dairy alternative. Now you can swap the milk out with coconut or soy milk and almond milk if you're in Japan. Obviously the whip cream has dairy, but to be honest I don't really miss it.

 My favorites are:
  • Soy Green Tea Latte | So yummy! If you are into matcha this is the drink for you.
  • Cinnamon Dolce Soy Latte | This makes my heart smile
  • Iced Caffe American W/ Soy or Coconut Milk | Can't go wrong with a basic
  • Peppermint Soy Latte | For when you're feeling festive
  • Any Iced of Hot Tea : Get the Peach Green Tea Lemonade! I love this in the summertime
  • Soy Mocha Cookie Crumble Frap W/ no chocolate chips | There's cookies in this...that's all
There are so many other drinks that you can make vegan, just swap out the dairy and you're good to go! Except of it's a White Chocolate Mocha syrup or anything that contains the Caramel Sauce. Don't be afraid to ask the barista questions! I've created a Pocket Vegan Starbucks Guide for you all. I don't know about you, but sometimes I get overwhelmed when I'm ordering or I don't know what to order, this guide should help! Just screenshot this picture and save it to your photo library on your phone.

I hope this was helpful! Let me know what you think of the drinks!

Truthfully Yours,
