VLOGMAS X BLOGMAS DAYS 19, 20 & 21

Friends! Can you believe that Christmas is four days away. I don't know about you, but I still have to finish shopping... I had every intention of getting some of it done this weekend but something very exciting was happening! I don't think I've ever mentioned this but two of my very good friends have been abroad for the past four months. Nicole, was studying abroad in Costa Rica and Lola is teaching in China. Nicole was suppose to come back at midnight today but she missed her flight and had to catch one late this morning. Lola on the other hand was scheduled to come back the 23rd. Last night I received a snapchat from her which was odd because I was pretty sure she couldn't send or receive any snapchat in China. When I opened it, it was a picture of her at home with the caption "surprise!" I freaked out! It was so unexpected! I'm so happy to have my favorite people back in the country!

VLOGMAS X BLOGMAS: GET BETTER SOON

VLOGMAS X BLOGMAS: GET BETTER SOON

VLOGMAS X BLOGMAS DAYS 15, 16 & 17

I DID NOT FORGET ABOUT VLOGMAS X BLOGMAS! I just haven't had a second to breathe. The past two days have been hectic to say the least, but everything is finally slowing down. I was contemplating posting something quick, then I realized quality is better than quantity. I knew you guys would understand, life gets crazy and we have no control over that. Either way, I still apologize for not posting.

Monday Recap
I was answering tons of emails, cleaning (which still isn't done yet) and getting ready for a work event #internlife. I ran some errands, you know the usual grocery shopping, returning items at stores. I stopped by World Market just to browse and I realized that I am going to decorate my entire home with World Market items. I went home worked some more and fell asleep with my laptop in bed. Does anyone else do that?

Tuesday Recap
BUSY. The media company that I intern for had a holiday party with about 300 guests! We decorated the space to look like a holiday wonderland. It was magical! The day was jam packed but the party was great! I took the train home, took my SleepWell vitamins and crashed. I was exhausted.

Wednesday Recap
Today was spent recovering. I slept in a little bit, made some breakfast and relaxed! Unfortunately, I feel myself getting sick so I'm drinking EmergenC as we speak.

VLOGMAS X BLOGMAS DAY 12, 13 & 14: OUTDOOR MARKETS

Hi friends! I hope you all had a fab weekend. In the DC/MD area we experienced some not so frigid weather it was nice not having to wear my big coat. This week we are expecting temps in the 40s and I am quite content.

On Friday and Saturday I spent the entire day binge watching The 100. If you watch this show you can understand why. SO. GOOD. You can't just watch one episode. On Friday night my friend and I were trying to find something good to watch on Netflix and she heard The 100 was good. We watched an episode and I've been hooked since then. It reminds me of The Lord Of The Flies and 1984, both were my favorite to read in high school. I don't want to reveal too much in case you all want to watch it, but trust me it's a great show.

On Sunday I thought it would be nice to get some fresh air so my friend and I went to Parcel Market at Canal Park in DC. I got some goodies that I'll share sometime this week. We also hit up the fashion trucks. It's just like a store but on wheels. I think it's such a cool concept.

VLOGMAS X BLOGMAS DAY 11: 3AM ONLINE SHOPPING

You know that saying "nothing good happens after 2 am"? Well, it's true. Yesterday was a rough day for me, so rough I got a migraine. Bright lights, talking and anything loud made it worse. So I went to my room turned off the lights, put my phone on silent, laid in bed and closed my eyes. This was around 7pm. I drifted to sleep and woke at 12am. So annoying. What do I do when I can't sleep? Browse through Pinterest obviously. If you follow me you can see I was a pinning machine from about 12:30 to 2:55. When 3am rolled around I stumbled on a pin of a planner. I have been on the hunt for a planner for months, my Lilly planner has about 3 more weeks left :( so I'm in dire need of a new one. This planner is nothing short of perfect! Long story short, I bought a planner at 3 in the morning amongst others things (damn you amazon!). No shame.

It is currently 9:56am as I am writing this post, I still haven't slept and I feel sleep creeping into my eyes. I'm trying my best to fight it. I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail. My sleep schedule is crap. So here's to my second cup of coffee as I try to keep my eye open. Talk to you all tomorrow, hopefully I'm better rested, caffeinated and less grumpy (so I'm told, but can you blame me!).

VLOGMAS X BLOGMAS DAY 10: SCARF ENVY

I have come to terms that winter in in full effect. My summer clothes are officially away and I don't plan on taking them out until April. My calculations show that we're going to be experiencing another two and half months of this weather, so I want to be ready. I want my body to be fully covered, like a protective armor against the winter air.  Recently I have been obsessed with blanket scarfs. One, they're super chic. Two, they come in tons of colors and patterns. Lastly, they pretty much cover the entire chest and neck area from the cold. It's cute and functional. I had every intention of purchasing a blanket scarf on cyber Monday but I forgot...figures. Since then I've kept a list of my favorite ones.

Aerie $22.46

Zara $29.90

Asos $34.11

Zara 49.90

Urban Outfitters $59

Which one is your favorite?

VLOGMAS X BLOGMAS DAY 9: WARBY PARKER

Concentric: (adj.) denoting circles, arcs or other shapes that share the same center, the larger often completely surrounding the smaller.

You may be wondering why there is a definition at the beginning of this post? I promise it's not random and you'll find out in a few...keep reading.

I have worn glasses since I was two years old. Yes, you read right, two years old. My mom loves to tell the story about the blizzard of 1996. It was January 6th and the blizzard was in full effect and left a fresh pillow of 17 inches of snow. I was about three and three quarters (very specific) at the time and memorized by the magic of snow. It was early in the morning and my mother scooped me up out of bed to see the snow from our living room window. When she placed me in front of the window I squinted and said "Mommy, I can't see anything!" She giggled, retrieved my glasses, and her I watched the snowfall. This story is always told at family functions and holidays and each time I smile. I think back to the very Steve Urkel- esque spectacles with the lanyard that I had from ages two through twelve and laugh. Good times.

I've had horrible vision my entire life and I've embraced! I remember as a preteen every year or two getting excited about new glasses. I felt like a new pair signified and new me, and let me tell you I felt like a million bucks! I would pick the brightest, and craziest glasses knowing full well that no one would have them and I loved that. As I got older and began to hone my style I liked glasses in a neutral tone with a flair, whether it be the color or shape. I love the classics which never go out of style with the added luxury, but not the price tag! Since my vision is so bad there is a lot of work that needs to go into my glasses which usually hikes up the price. In addition to that the frames are extremely overpriced. Annoying.

A while ago when browsing through some of my favorite blogs I saw a brand being mentioned quite a bit. Warby Parker. I immediately visited their site and it was love at first site. The most stylish frames in the game without the heavy price tag. It gets better. You can do an at home try on...for free and they fill your prescription for you! I remember saying "this can't be real life" but it was and I couldn't be happier! I knew where my next pair of glasses from now and forever were coming from.

Today Warby Parker just released their Concentric Collection (hence the definition). They were kind enough to share this exclusive with me! This collection is so classic and chic with a zing. It's perfect for adding a little something to your fall and winter layers. The colors and hues are very warm and the frame shapes are flattering on any face structure. Being the fashion obsessed blogger that I am, I made up outfits with some of my favorites from the collection. I jotted some ideas down and this is what I imagined...
